Booking Terms and Conditions for Creative Workshops and Courses

Booking and payment - All bookings require payment in advance, once payment is received and confirmed, your place is reserved. Payments are non-refundable – if you cancel your booking, a credit towards a future workshop will only be given if we are able to fill the cancelled space, less a £15 admin fee. In the very unlikely event that we may have to cancel or postpone a workshop, we will do our best to give adequate notice and happily refund fees paid or offer credit towards a future workshop. We cannot accept responsibility for any other costs, expenses or disappointment.  Please let us know when booking if you are using a Gift Voucher for full or part payment.  

Payment by via my website, Paypal or BACS Bank Transfer please.

Against copying in design - Course content and notes are covered by copyright.  Workshop sessions, courses and the items created therein are intended for personal use and enjoyment, not as training for setting up a business, commercial use or sales. Workshop tutors retain the intellectual property to their own ideas and the samples shared. However, you can use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher. 

Materials - Our workshops and course sessions will include all necessary materials and equipment, a list of things that you can bring, including your own kit, will be included, but is not essential, depending on the tutor running the event. People often enjoy using some of their own materials to give the work a more personal connection, so please feel free to bring your things, including your mini sewing kit.   

Venue - PLEASE NOTE - This Workshop/Class will take place at Maggie’s home in Stone, Staffordshire, details o follow with confirmation.

Our venue for most Workshops sessions and courses is the Hideout in Fulford, near Stone, Staffordshire.  This is a beautiful purpose built venue in the grounds of a private house in the countryside.  Directions will be sent with your booking details, there is parking at the venue.  There are two steps to the entrance of the Hideout which is on one floor and has a toilet and small kitchen as well as the main room where we shall enjoy our day.

Health and Safety - We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of those taking part in our workshops and courses and we expect you to consider the health and safety of yourselves and others. We cannot be held responsible for injury, loss or damage to you or your personal possessions whilst attending our workshops or course sessions.

Covid19 precautions – at the moment UK Government guidelines have removed any restrictions, however we will ask that for your own consideration and that of others attending the event you make use of hand washing facilities and hand gel, wear a mask if you wish to do so and be mindful of how others feel with regard to social distancing.

Catering - Half day workshops include drinks and cake/biscuits. Full day workshops also include a two-course lunch, please inform of any food allergies when booking. You will be sent a form with your booking confirmation

Overnight Accommodation - If you wish to extend your visit, we can provide a list of some local accommodation for you to make your own arrangements.

Unless otherwise stated, the workshops and course sessions are intended for over 18’s only.
